Do you want to help end hunger?
Around the world, 1 in 9 people are hungry. That's about 842 million people, including 99 million children under age five who are undernourished and underweight. In the United States, 49 million people live in food-insecure households, including nearly 16 million children. That's 1 out of 5 kids.
This is a problem we can solve. Raise your voice and take action to help end hunger on Global Youth Service Day. Check out hunger project ideas on GYSD.org and find more ideas and resources below.
If you choose hunger as your cause for GYSD, plan your project, and then claim your place on the 2015 GYSD Map.
